It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul T. Taylor, who went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2026, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born on November 3, 1950, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Paul lived a life devoted to family, faith, and community.
Paul was a graduate of Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre, where he graduated in 1968. After which he was a proud member of the Army Reserves. He also, dedicated his career to working in the warehouses at Roth American in Wilkes-Barre and Leslie Fay in Laflin, showing unwavering commitment and hard work throughout his professional life.
A devoted Catholic, Paul was an active member of St. Leo the Great Parish in Ashley, where he found solace and strength in his faith. His commitment to his beliefs was one of his proudest accomplishments, reflecting the values he instilled in his family.
Paul cherished the joy of simple pleasures in life. He loved to cook, fish, and golf, often finding peace while sitting on his porch with family. His memories are a source of comfort to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved son, Paul Taylor and his wife, Megan, of Wilkes-Barre Township; his loving daughter, Nicole Montgomery and her husband, Mark, also of Wilkes-Barre Township. Paul was the proud grandfather of Brittany Taylor and Tyler Montgomery, and he delighted in his role as a great-grandfather to Kaylee Taylor. He leaves behind his brother, Robert Taylor and his wife, Connie, from Jamestown, OH, as well as his sister, Pat Kopko and her husband, Dan, from Wildwood, FL.
Paul is preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert Taylor and Dorothy Cole Unvarsky, his wife, Evelyn, who passed away on July 4, 2024, his brother John Taylor, and his sister, Donna Wysocki.
Visitation will be held on January 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, located at 21 N Meade St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. A Mass will take place on January 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Leo's Holy Rosary Church, located at 33 Manhattan St, Ashley, PA 18706, followed by a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp., PA, commencing at 11:00 AM.
Paul T. Taylor's legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate through the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
