Nicola J. Konetski, fondly known as Nicky, was born on March 20, 1960, in Liverpool, England. She passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Nicky had a fulfilling career in nursing, serving not only as a nurse but later as a case manager at Little Flower Manor and John Heinz Rehabilitation in Wilkes-Barre. Her compassion and dedication to her patients were unparalleled, and she approached her work with the same fervor and passion that characterized her vibrant personality.

A graduate of high school in England, Nicky continued her education at Luzerne County Community College, earning an Associate Degree in Nursing. Throughout her life, Nicky enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was particularly fond of her family, whom she cherished deeply. Additionally, Nicky had a whimsical love for Mickey Mouse, an affinity for novelty pigs, and an ever-refreshing delight found in a cold diet coke.

Nicky's exuberance filled every room she entered; she was truly the funniest and loudest person in any gathering. Her spirited presence will be sorely missed, as life will feel significantly quieter without her infectious laughter and joyous energy.

Family held the utmost importance in Nicky's life. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Mark Konetski, and their beloved daughter, Brittany Konetski, of Edwardsville, PA. Nicky was also supported by her brothers, Earl Wint and his wife, Deborah, of Liverpool, England, and Jonathan Wint of Wilkes-Barre, PA, along with her sister, Karen Martendale, of San Diego, CA. Among her proudest accomplishments was the relationship she cherished with her daughter, who was the light of her life and her constant caregiver throughout the health challenges Nicky faced.

Nicky's spirit now joins that of her infant son, Daniel Konetski, who she lost in 1993. As we remember and honor Nicky J. Konetski, we celebrate the vibrant, loving, and extraordinary woman she was—one whose impact on those around her will linger on in our hearts forever.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
