Kathleen Susan Waltos

Kathleen S. Waltos 84, of The Villages, Florida passed away on January 27, 2026 at The U of F Hospital in Spanish Plains.

Kathy was born in the Park Slope section of Manhattan to Daniel Treacy and Mary Mokris. When her parents passed away Kathy moved with her sister to live with their grandmother in Swoyersville, Pa.

She was employed as a second grade teacher in New Jersey and later a Supervisor at Commonwealth Telephone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Waltos on September 9, 2002.

Surviving is her sister, Mary Treacy; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and companion, Nicholas Gotch.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9th at 9:30am from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
