Joseph Anthony Yenchik

Joseph A. Yenchik of Bear Creek Township, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home.

Born July 20, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late John and Anna Heck Yenchik.

Joseph attended Marymount grade school and was a 1963 graduate of Hanover Township High School. He continued his education at Penn State University, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

He was employed as a Surveyor for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, retiring after 39 years.

Joe was an avid hunter and New York Yankee fan. He enjoyed Western movies and commenting about the weather. He especially loved his family as they were the most important part of his life.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, the former Paulette Skordensky; son, Joseph Paul Yenchik and his wife, Jenifer of Bear Creek Township; daughters, Renee Kaplan and her husband, David of North Abington Township, Michele Prudente and her husband, Joseph of Bear Creek Township, and Denise Clark and her husband, William of Bear Creek Township; grandchildren, Danielle Prudente, Jason Prudente, William Clark III, Matthew Clark, and Joseph George Yenchik.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
