Joseph J. Mrozoski Jr., age 81, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2026. Born on March 23, 1945, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Joe lived a life defined by dedication, generosity, humor, and an unwavering love for his family.
Joe graduated from Marymount High School in 1963, where he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball—sparking a lifelong passion for sports, teamwork, and mentorship. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota. During his service, he worked as a dental hygienist and welcomed the birth of his first daughter, beginning the deep devotion to family that remained central throughout his life.
At the heart of Joe’s life was the love he shared with his beloved wife, Maryann Stasik. Joe cherished every moment with her. Their marriage was built on loyalty, laughter, dedication, and enduring love. He was a caring father, a steadfast protector of his siblings, and a man whose greatest joy came from caring for those he loved.
Joe built an exceptional career in automotive sales and management, earning widespread respect for his leadership, integrity, and unmatched work ethic. As General Manager of Kingston Dodge, Valley Chevrolet, and Berwick Chevrolet, Joe took immense pride not only in his professional accomplishments but in his ability to provide for and support his family.
Beyond his professional success, Joe was known for his generosity, mentorship, and commitment to helping others. He quietly gave his time and support to many organizations and community groups, including the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters. Joe also spent many years enthusiastically coaching his daughters’ grade school basketball and softball teams, creating lasting memories through his encouragement, dedication, and love of sports.
Those who knew Joe will remember his incredible sense of humor, quick wit, and gift for conversation. He was a natural jokester—someone who could light up any room with a smile, a story, or perfectly timed humor. Whether golfing, playing tennis, traveling, or simply spending time with family, Joe embraced life fully and brought joy to those around him.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Maryann Stasik; his loving daughters, Maryann Staszak; Elizabeth Mercurio and her husband, Mitchell Mercurio; Barbara Prontnicki and her husband, Theodore Prontnicki; and JoAnn Podlaski and her husband, Jason Podlaski. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Ariel Mercurio, Ana Staszak, Sara Staszak, Joel Prontnicki, Peter Podlaski, Aaron Prontnicki, and Zoe Podlaski, all of whom adored him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Elizabeth and Joseph Mrozoski.
