Joan Ann Zapotocki

Joan Ann Zapotocki of Wilkes-Barre passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at her home. Born September 29, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Joachim and Gertrude Duffy Zapotocki.

Joan Ann was a 1974 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed at the Luzerne County Tax Bureau.

She was a member of St. Andre Bessette parish community, Wilkes-Barre, and the North End Slovak Citizen's Club.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Zapotocki.

Surviving is her son, William Gelatko and his wife, Danielle of Philadelphia;sister, Mary Ellen Dominick and her husband, Louis of Bartonsville, PA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Heffron of Glen Lyon, PA; and her 2 cats that she loved, Kevin Lynn and Gert.

Private funeral services will be held celebrated by Monsignor John Sempa with burial in St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.
