Jean M. Kostak

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, Jean slipped away Friday September 12th at home in Mountain Lakes, NJ surrounded by loved ones.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Regina Motovidlak, brother Raymond Motovidlak (Joan), sisters Evelyn Kornova (Francis) & Donna Sharpe.

Jean is survived by her husband Leonard Kostak, Sister Gail Missal (Donald), Brothers Thomas & Michael Motovidlak & her children Michael Kostak (Ronnie), Cynthia Kostak & Patricia Kostak-Kocher (Patrick) & grandchildren Rose, Katie & Caylee.

Jean grew up in Wilkes-barre, PA, before moving to NJ where she lived her life working hard and raising a family. She was a beautiful, warm, kind hearted person that enjoyed caring for others. She made everyday exceptional, especially holidays. Her role as a mother extended beyond her immediate family, she absolutely loved children and making memories with family & friends. She enjoyed ocean cruises, playing bingo & casinos, and cooking homemade meals. She remains loved by many.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 20th at 11:00am at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Deacon William Behm from Our Lady of Hope Parish will Officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00am until the time of services.
