Janiece Marie Bunsick Demuro

Janiece Marie Bunsick DeMuro, 80, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2023, at Riverstreet Manor. Born in Philadelphia on April 28, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John Michael and Mary Ann Page Bunsick.

Janiece graduated from Marymount High School, Luzerne County Community College, Wilkes University, and Antones School of Cosmetology. She was employed as a staff Assistant to the former Congressman Paul Kanjorski for 28 years, and was also a sales representative for Avon.

She was a member of Wilkes University Polish Room, Community Polish American Congress, Big Band Society of NEPA, Wyoming Valley Historical Society, American Legion Post #815, Wilkes-Barre Township, and the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents, Janiece was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Peter Alfred DeMuro on December 18, 2022.

Surviving is her son, Mark L. Puterbaugh and his fiance, Terrilynn Wassel; God child, Samantha Mazula; best friend, Mary Mooneen Bieleki; friend, Linda Mazula and her son, Michael Mazula. As per Janiece's request, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.

Janiece's family would like to thank the nurses and aides for their amazing care in Spruce Hall at Riverstreet Manor.
