James E. Norton

James E. Norton, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his home. Born October 25, 1941, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Jacob and Theresa Norton.

James was a graduate of E.L. Meyers high School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed at Cornell Iron Works until retiring. James was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and picking mushrooms and berries throughout the area.

He was a social member of the AMVETS, Hanover Township. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Edward Norton; and sister, Helen Kaelber.

Surviving is his daughter, Kimberly Curcio and her husband, Casey of Sugar Notch; son, James Norton and his wife, Elizabeth of Montoursville; grandchildren, Nick, Joseph, and Isabella Curcio, and Larissa, Austin, and Joshua Norton; great-grandchildren, Elysia, Giovanni, and Harper; and sisters, Jeannie Olshefski of Bradenton, FL, Kathy Hoffman of Wilkes-Barre, and Linda Ritter of Wilkes-Barre.

Family and friends may visit Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
