Irene M. Mikula

Irene Mikula, 87 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the youngest child of the late Stanley and Stephanie (Jamiolkowski) Pyzia.

Preceding Irene in death besides her parents were brothers, Stanley and Leonard Pyzia; sisters, Theresa Ratchford and Dorothy Wincek; a daughter, Jane Vanchure; and six grandchildren.

Surviving Irene are daughters Sharon Wilcox, Wilkes-Barre, and Betty Ann Magyar and her Husband Joseph, West Pittston; and son, Joseph Mikula Jr. and his partner Kip, Penn Lake. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

As per Irene's wishes, a private memorial was held, and internment will be at St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.

Arrangements were entrusted to Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
