Irene Lyons

      Irene Lyons, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Third Avenue Health and Rehabilitation, Kingston.

     Born August 23, 1938, in Larksville, she was a daughter of the late William and Victoria Zelinski Tomchak.

     Irene was a 1956 graduate of Larksville High School.

     She was preceded in death by her infant son, Calvin Lyons; grandson, Adam Lyons Jr.; brothers, Stanley, Joseph, Edward, Benjamin, William, John, Frank, Vincent, and Adam Tomchak; and sisters, Margaret, Mary, and Helen Tomchak.

     Surviving is her sons, Thomas Lyons of Wilkes-Barre, and Adam Lyons and his wife, Adrienne of Wilkes-Barre Township; daughter, Carol Traver and her fiance, Larry Rogers of Ashley; grandchildren, Jeremy and Justin Lyons; sister-in-laws, Geraldine Tomchak of Wilkes-Barre, and Monica Tomchak of Ashtabuka, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

     Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
