Helen M. Jones

Helen M. Jones of Avoca, previously of Wilkes-Barre, went home with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born May 25, 1946, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Edward Meck Sr. and Caroline Smith Meck.

She attended Nanticoke School District until leaving to care for her Nephew.

Helen was employed by Custom Services before an early retirement to care for her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Jones; her infant brother, Jackie, brother, Edward Meck Jr.; sister, Caroline Meck; and her step-son, Bradley Jones Sr.

Surviving are her daughters, Melody Decker and her husband, Charles of Nanticoke, and Mari Kay Kmitch and her husband, Bryan of Avoca; sons, Arthur Jones and his wife, Stacy of New York, and Michael Jones of Wilkes-Barre; step daughter, Milinda Keefer of Mifflinville; grandchildren, Kaylie, Bryanna, Ethan, Jacob, Kaleb, Landon, Carrie, Kelli, Bradley Jr., and Jennifer; several great grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews; and her life-long friend, Steve Walski.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.

Helen's family would like to thank everyone whom was part of her care. Especially the staff at Allied Services Hospice.

Mom, you loved us all so unconditionally and we thank God he chose you to be our Mom. We forever love you. XOXO
