Gary Lance Johnson, 56, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa was called home to our Lord on June 17, 2023 after an brief unexpected illness. Gary was born to Jean and Lee Johnson in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, on May 31, 1967.

He attended GAR Memorial HS class of 87.

Gary worked in the food and beverage industry all his life. Gary previously worked at Gus Genetti's , The Train Station, and the video store. Gary found his home though 13 years ago when he started working at Ricci's Pizza. Gary's recreation was the time he spent with his Ricci's family even when he was not at work. They held a special place in his heart.

Gary is survived his brother Marky Johnson, and his wife Clarece, of Phoenix AZ.; brother Darrell(DJ) Johnson , Indianapolis; Gary's "grandchildren", Marques, Kate, Kairo, and Selah from Columbus, IN. Gary is also survived by a family of cousins, aunts and uncles who mourn his loss. Gary is also survived by a whole community who loved him as he loved them. My family and I would like humbly thank every one who sent condolences, tributes, prayers, or just mentioned his name and share a moment they had with him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 10:00am at Moving River Ministries, 453 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Pastor Adam McGahee will Officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.
