Francisco I. Ciprian Sr., a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at his home in Wilkes-Barre, PA, at the age of 80. Born on December 14, 1944, in the Dominican Republic, Francisco dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country, having spent 20 years in the Dominican Republic Air Force before becoming a proud United States Citizen. His commitment to his country and his newfound home was a defining element of his character.
Francisco completed his education by graduating high school in the Dominican Republic, a foundation that served him well throughout his life. His journey brought him to the United States, where he embraced the values of American citizenship with enthusiasm and pride.
A man of varied interests, Francisco was known for his love of music, dancing, and cooking. He found joy in sharing these passions with his family, and his vibrant spirit and rich cultural heritage were an integral part of the family's gatherings. His enjoyment of life and devotion to family exemplified his warm personality and generous heart.
Francisco is survived by his loving wife, Yofelin Lopez, and his son, Francisco Ciprian Jr., and his wife, Nilda, residing in Nanticoke, PA. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Francisco Ciprian III and Dennie Ciprian. His legacy will continue through them, as they carry forward the values and love he instilled in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Ciprian, who undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the man he became.
A visitation to honor Francisco's life will be held on December 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, located at 21 N Meade St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the remarkable life of a man whose presence was as vibrant as the music he loved.
