Dorothy M. Mikielski, of Hanover Township, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Allied Services-Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.Born October 10, 1924, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Tesar Kovalick. Dorothy was a 1942 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed for many years in the area garment industry.

She enjoyed polka dancing. She married Chester Mikielski in 1946 and moved to Detroit MI, returning to the Wilkes-Barre area to raise their family. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester in 2013; and son, Kenneth in 1971.

Surviving are her sons, Ronald Mikielski of Hanover Township, and Gerald Mikielski Sr. and his wife, Barbara of Dallas; grandchildren, Lorie Mikielski (Joann Sincavage), Hope Smith (Kristopher), Gregory Mikielski (Leanne), Jessica Hudak (Michael), April Bridges, Gerald Mikielski Jr., and Andrew Mikielski; great grandchildren, Noah Bridges, Zachary Smith, Hailey Hudak, Taylor Hudak, Leah Hudak, Kayleigh Mikielski, Hudson Mikielski, Audriana Mikielski, and Alexia Mikielski.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26,2022 at 9:00am from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend John S. Terry, Pastor, will be Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call Friday, 11/25/2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
