Bernard F. Kubinetz, aka, “Buster”, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at his home in Luzerne.

Born March 27, 1965, in Luzerne, he was the son of the late Bernard B. Kubinetz and Patricia A. Murray Kubinetz.

He attended school at St. John’s, Luzerne, and Wyoming Valley West High School.

Buster formerly worked for Bridon American Corporation for many years. Before Bridon, he worked for multiple companies doing roofing and also had his own Seamless Gutter Business for a period of time.

Buster had many hobbies from collecting clocks, coins and stamps, to being an avid lover of all things mechanical, such as, motorcycles, quads, jeeps, and muscle cars. His current project was rebuilding and restoring his 1978 Jeep CJ5. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting, along with feeding the wildlife that visited his backyard. He loved spending time with Callie cat and his late dog, Blaze.

Buster loved spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed throwing his epic pig roasts, just to bring everyone together.

Buster was well known around town for telling his many stories and being quite the comedian, never telling the same joke twice. He had a big heart and was always lending a helping hand. He is going to be missed by so many.

Buster was married to his loving wife, Brenda Thrash Kubinetz for 25 years, whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Buster was preceded in death by his brother, George and wife Maureen Visco, and his niece, Colleen Llewdlyn Vikara.
