Andrea S. Davis (née Banik), known affectionately as Andy, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at Edenbrook on Second Ave., while under hospice care. She was born on February 19, 1950, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, a place that shaped her enduring warmth and unfailing sense of tradition.

Andrea’s journey through life was defined by profound love, gentle strength, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dearest. She was the cherished wife of Ronald Davis and the devoted mother to Timothy Davis and Cynthia Davis, who survive her and carry forward the gifts of her compassion, humor, and gentleness. Her love for her family was boundless—her greatest accomplishment and the legacy she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul Banik Sr. and Stella Banik, and by her brothers, Paul Banik and David Banik. Though these losses marked her journey, Andrea’s resilience and warmth never dimmed; instead, she found joy in cherishing every moment with those she loved and holding close to her heart the traditions that defined her upbringing.

Andrea was a proud alumna of Wilkes-Barre Business College, where she earned her Associate's Degree, an accomplishment that spoke to her quiet determination. Yet it was in her role as a stay-at-home mom that Andrea’s nurturing spirit truly flourished. She poured her love into her household every day, making it a haven of laughter, comfort, and belonging.

Her home was a special place—a canvas for her creativity and love of beauty. She delighted in decorating for the holidays, most especially Easter and Christmas, embracing the traditions she grew up with and passing them lovingly to the next generation. These celebrations were filled with joy, music, and the gentle rhythms of closeness, for Andrea adored dancing and listening to music, finding happiness in simple pleasures that brought her family together.

Andrea’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She never strayed from her Catholic beliefs, drawing from them serenity and purpose, and instilling in her family the values she cherished.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Andrea will remember her as a loving wife and mother, a devoted daughter and sister, and an irreplaceable friend. Her kindness was unmatched, offering comfort in times of need and laughter that warmed every gathering. Her unique sense of humor, coupled with a gentle soul, marked her as someone truly special—an individual who could always make those closest to her feel loved, cared for, and singularly important.

Andrea’s family wishes for her to be remembered as a gentle soul who loved with all of her heart and found joy in the quiet, meaningful moments of life. Her abiding love for her husband and children was her proudest accomplishment, a treasure that will continue to sustain and inspire those she leaves behind.

Andrea’s life will be celebrated in the hearts of her family and friends, and her memory will be cherished always.
